About us
Our bespoke oak windows are handmade in our workshops by skilled joiners and can be produced to any design, size, profile, and finish. Period properties can be fitted with traditional single-sheet glazing or slim conservation double-glazed units, while windows for new builds can be fully double glazed and manufactured to modern performance specifications. We have extensive experience in creating accurate replacements and replicas for Listed buildings, as well as historic and heritage properties. Our windows are crafted using carefully selected timber and traditional joinery techniques, combined with modern glazing technology. We can supply windows to standard modular brickwork sizes or as fully made-to-measure units. The Majesty range of standard windows has been tested for conformity with CE standards
Why oak is used
• Is exceptionally strong and stable • Resists rot and insect attack better than many softwoods • Contains natural tannins that protect the timber • Ages beautifully, developing a rich patina over time

Appearance and ageing
New oak windows start pale honey in colour and gradually darken to warm golds and browns. Externally, untreated oak will weather to a silver-grey; internally, it develops a deeper patina through light and handling. Many owners value this natural change as part of the window’s character.
